Gyrograph #9988 Limited Editon
"Gyrographs are created with a contemporary high-end digital camera. The image is not computer rendered or enhanced; instead, it is a long exposure of a rotating table of moving lights. The mechanism comprises a series of rotating wheels, gears, pulleys, and cogs whose speed and centre of oscillation can be varied. Although purely photographic in execution, the technique can be described as a form of painting with light."
75 x 75 cm c-type print mounted on dibond aluminium
Limited edition of 10
The process of mounting on dibond aluminium ensures that the print remains perfectly flat without the need for a frame; creating a hi-tech pristine finish. The hanging mechanism supplied sits the image 10mm off the wall, creating the effect of it floating in space - very cool!
